AFTERLIFE:  Progressive Rock Returns

From the first wave of Symphonic prog innovators like YES, Genesis, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer in the early 1970s to the New World/Art prog bands such as Kansas, UK, and Rush in the late 1970s and early 1980s, AFTERLIFE pays tribute to the seminal period of progressive rock with spot-on performances of hallmark tunes from the masters.  With nods to the Proto-prog of Deep Purple and the contemporary Metal-prog of Dream Theater, AFTERLIFE also weaves Journey, Jefferson Starship and Led Zeppelin into an eclectic mix of classics.

AFTERLIFE recreates the sounds, textures, and aura from the golden era of the genre by taking the audience on a journey back in time featuring a full light show, atmospheric visual effects and stage sculptures -- combined with state-of-the-art full-fidelity stereo sound.  The band faithfully reproduces the studio versions of these classic releases in a live performance.  AFTERLIFE reconstructs the music note for note  from the ELP interpretation of Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, to the songs of YES including Starship Trooper and Heart of the Sunrise.

Don’t miss this group of five homegrown Long Island musicians performing live at unique venues near you.  For younger folks, this is what it was like to be there in that magical decade … and those who have been there will be transported back ...
