Hi, Doyle,

Just deleted your review... waiting for a new one asap! Smile

We received the mails about Vox and Firesign and directed them to the Genre Teams (Metal, no?). Now the positive lobby has to be done with the Prog-Metal Team but you can open a thread about these bands too.

Cannot remember the new Shaman photo... probably received but if you provide me the link here I can go there and replace the old one per the new one.

Prog-on,
Guigo

Hey, Atkingani...

I've sent two emails about VOX and FIRESIGN... I hope P.A. administration has received...

And, at this same topic, I've sent a link with new SHAMAN photos, with the new members :D

about my review... I want to delete and make a new review about the SHAAMAN's CD "Reason" (2005)... Rated by A. F. Doyle (A. F. Doyle) Posted Monday, October 22, 2007, 15:37 EST | Permanent link

If you could erase it, i'm very grateful!

THANKS! (and, please, see if P.A. has received my emails :-)

Here, a new photo for Shaman's profile in P.A.,,, with the new members:

Oh! And I've sent new emails, with the full profile of Karma's parallel projects: VOX and FIRESIGN!

I hope to see their pages in progacrhives very soon... I'VE ALSO SENT mp3 of both bands, and from Karma too... but I guess that to add mp3 takes more time...

Thanks, and soon I'll sent mp3 and profile for Andre Matos solo (ex-Angra and Shaman)  for ProgArchives!

:D

ATKINGANI!

Thanks!

So, could you delete from Shaman/Shaaman's description the following text:

"With this great start, the band is now ready to move on, finding their own sound, but always exploring new elements for their unique music and compositions... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Why this artist must be listed in www.progarchives.com :
Having ANGRA and BLEZQI ZATSAZ already in the ProgArchives, it's natural that SHAMAN are included. The band with former members from ANGRA, and with Fábio Ribeiro (BLEZQI ZATSAZ) in the keyboards! Their progressive sound remind us the old and classic ANGRA."

And include a new text:

"With this great start, the band was now ready to move on, finding their own sound, but always exploring new elements for their unique mucis and compositions. The result was the outrageous "Reason" (in 2005), a most dark but essencially original CD.

The following tour, although very successful, has ended with the band splitting up in 2006. But Ricardo Confessori moved on - without his original team - and recruted great new members to continue the magic: THIAGO BIANCHI (well known producer and singer from the bands Karma, Firesign and Vox), Léo Mancini (guitars - ex-Tempestt), Fernando Quesada (bass) and Fabrizio DiSarno (Karma, ex-Symbols).

"Immortal", realeased in 2007, just confirms that the Ritual must go on, and their will is really IMMORTAL!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!"

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

PS: I've sent a new email, about Karma... hope to see them very soon in PA pages...

That's OK, Doyle... if you check from where I come from you'll realize that I'll be very pleased to see those Brazilian acts added here. Smile

The procedures for inclusion have changed and now PA have genre teams to manage all these issues. Anyway, you can open a new thread in the Suggest New Bands/Artists or send a mail to: [email protected]

You may send mp3s for streaming to the e-mail adress informed above.

It'll take a bit more time but in the end everything will work well, I'm sure. Thumbs%20Up

just to make myself clear, I said that "This site used to be dinamic" 'cause I remember that I've added several bands such as Shaman, Virgo, Jon Oliva's Pain and others... and it was very easy... just the mp3, that I used to sent by email, and 1 or 2 months later they were included...

Only when the site administration did'nt agree with some band, that they've deleted, just like when I've tried to add the metal band Brainstorm... but I thought that was OK after all... :D

Atkingani...

Let me explain my anger :D

I just think that this used to be a dinamic site... for an example, 2 YEARS AGO I've sent an email to PA, with all the informations about the brazilian band KARMA (with the new Shaman's singer)... in this meantime I've re-sent the email.. and, well, so far, no answer!!!!

In 2007 Andre Matos has released "Time To Be Free", but I don't feel like sending emails about that, to add Andre Matos Solo, 'cause I know it could take forever for that to happen... that's why it's too bad... same thing around sending mp3 from several bands... (yesterday, at least, I've included a new Shaman video, for people see the new members in action...)

But, well, since you want to help, you could, after all Shaman's description, include a short paragraph, about the band spliting up in 2006, and the return with "Immortal" (in 2007) and the new members --> Thiago Bianchi (v -> also Karma, Firesign, Vox); Léo Mancini (g -> ex-Tempestt), Fernando Quesada (b), and Fabrizio DiSarno (keys -> also Karma, Firesign, ex-Symbols).

And it's important to say that ANDRE MATOS has created ANDRE MATOS SOLO with Shaman former members: Hugo Mariutti (g), Luis Mariutti (b) and Fabio Ribeiro (k)... BUT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW HOW TO INCLUDE ANDRE MATOS SOLO, KARMA AND OTHER BANDS, SINCE MY EMAILS HAVE BEEN IGNORED :-/

thanks anyway :D, sorry for my awful english...

In 2005, the name was changed, and the band became SHAAMAN! But it was the same members, the same team! The album "Reason" was released in 2005 with that name - the two A's!

In 2006 the band split up! Ricardo Confessori has been left alone, and he called Leo Mancini (guitar - from the Hard Rock band Tempestt), Fernando Quesada (bass) and the great vocalist Thiago Bianchi (well known producer and vocalist from the progressive bands: KARMA, VOX and FIRESIGN)... and the band, nowadays, has returned with the old name SHAMAN (one "A"!), and realead the excellent "Immortal" (2007)...

ANDRE MATOS (with Luis, Fabio and Hugo), has formed his solo project - ANDRE MATOS SOLO!!!! Great music!!!! The CD is called "Time To Be Free"...

PROGARCHIVES USED TO BE A GREAT SITE... BUT RIGHT NOW I CAN'T CHANGE/UPDATE SHAMAN'S DESCRIPTION, OR INCLUDE ANDRE MATOS SOLO, OR INCLUDE NEW MUSIC, OR NOTHING AT ALL!!!!!!! TOO BAD...

AF, we are here just to change and/or update what's needed... PA have a forum dedicated only for these issues with very interested people doing this job as volunteers - so, I cannot see why it's too bad. In fact, it's VERY GOOD!!!

About Shaman/Shaaman, we are here trying to find a way to connect both names, specially for those that don't know the band's name returned to their original.

EDIT: I did a provisional update... pending a final decision about their name and information on their bio.

I'd suggest to continue this discussion in "Completing Discographies" thread...

According to the bio ("SHAAMAN (Shaman – the second "a" came in 2005)"), they may be written as Shaman (Shaaman) as well as Shaman / Shaaman (what the exact difference between the parentheses and the slash is? (in this case, I mean))...

I can also think of Sha(a)man, or Sha(:)man... Wink

To answer the last question only -- there are bands appearing with two names (I'll search for examples later -- sorry, kind of "shortness" of time these days...)

I promise I'll think about the solution too... EmbarrassedEmbarrassed
