Yet Bundles is an exceptionally good album. I also really love Holdsworth and Etheridge's additions.
It is odd that he doesn't acknowledge his past though... I heard his Desert Island Discs. It was disappointing. |

Did he have that many? Possibly the worse thing to happen to Soft Machine - and he does not seem to acknowledges their existence anymore |

Let's not divert this thread into a discussion about the addition of Black Sabbath. there is a section for such debate.
Chris, I don't recall you asking for permission to add BS, have you? You did however seek and gain permission to add Peter Bardens back in April, but that has not yet happened. It seems rather unfair to complain about additions by others when you do not complete those you have sought yourself.

My favourite "Louie Louie" quote is the extraordinary finale of "Flakes" on the SHEIK YERBOUTI album! ("I'm a moron and this is my wife...") |

To get back to the original discussion:
Frank Zappa used to throw in Louie Louie all the time, and later on My Sharona, and sometimes some classical stuff (Stravinsky) |

Confirmed: Any song with over 3 chords is prog. Hilary Duff to be added for that one song with an 11/8 bridge... INTO RIO. ![]() |

I disagree. In their first album there are a lot of proggy moments, and some of the tracks have the structure of mini-suites. However, BS were rejected over and over again, though there are many people who are in favour of their addition - which in any case would spark another endless, unpleasant controversy. This is why the Admin team, who are responsible for PP/PR additions, tend to tread lightly these days. Personally, I have no objection to their addition - on the contrary. However, I'd also like people to express their suggestions in a less confrontational way. |

I haven't heard Zebut Puel, but I have heard Sabbath's first four albums, and they aren't progressive in the slightest.

Notwithstanding your view and opinion of course, BS played plenty of prog in their early career. Do you challenge me for examples? And when I do compare them to " Gallows Pole", " Tangerine" " Since I been Loving You" ( not that I disagree with all of course) will you still say that "Zebut Puel" from late 70's Poland warrant more inclusion than a metallurgic spasm of a psychedlic wonderfuelled prog wet dream?

Black Sabbath were just straight-forward hard rock/heavy metal. I don't think they played a prog note in their career. |

I notice a lot of " personal" " Local" bands get inclusion on PA but crossover geniuses like Black Sabbath don't even get a sniff. Why would that be? Had BS been my backyard good feel prog garage band in outer Romania would they be here now?
Maybe we should give Patti Smith or Tori Amos a shout too given the total latitude to dometicos and it's unchallengable critique?

I also saw Lucia Micarelli perform Kashmire with JT. Yummy!
L'infonie tease Ravel's Bolero on one of their albums. Gov't Mule do a lot of live teases, some prog, some not. Karl Jenkins always borrows his own riff, it seems. Tunes by Nucleus and Soft Machine, seem to share that riff. I guess he ran out of ideas. ![]() |

If you take it like that, the last Jethro Tull concert was a Ian solo concert, too...
