Just imagine how it feels to have your music ripped off and given away freely, so that you lose your income. There is not enough angry faced emoticons in the world to explain that feeling.

Some guy ripped off part of my Crimson bio for his youtube video for One More Red Nightmare which isn`t even really a video but just a bunch of stills of the band.

If anybody plagiates me I concider it as a sign that I have written something good enough to be stolen. If needed, I can prove the original text is mine, so it's not my problem but the shame of the thief, he hasn't achieved or created anything, just been a thief. |

My reviews are being used on eBay with NO CREDIT to me or this site - maybe I should ask for a cut in the sale price;
/edit - just emailled him, requesting that he at least does the decent thing and asks in future!

Well, it`s happened to me again. This website, sakallimusic.blogspot, ripped off part of my Guru Guru bio and combined it with a UFO review they ripped off from someone else.I don`t usually go surfing and just did this for the hell of it. It took me only two hits before I found it. At least they give credit to progarchives. Writing is definitely not my forté but I do my best and have to work at it. Why can`t these b*****ds write their own s**t? Who knows how much of our material is out there.

Man, I SO want to find somebody using one of mine. That would make my day. I have no idea how I would, though, because doing a google search for "Shakespeare" just gives me sites about some old dead loaf who wrote a bunch of trash...
A bunch of plagiarized trash, mind you. (Way to make it relevant, Joshyboy ). |

Actually it is when it is attributed to you. It's like a sort of homage.
But unforunately very few times have the reviews been dutyfully acknowledged.

Worst record ever? I beg to differ. Better look at my Wall 2000 send up first.

They told me they didn't want to rip me off...that they'd find better written material stealing the reviews of a blind drug addict... |

Here's my Rush's 2112 review, which appeared on this site:
http://www.muzikmarketi.com/story/rush-2112-1976-rated-55-by-barla/ I don't see this as a bad thing at all. They mention me, and the review is exactly the same as the one in ProgArchives. What is more, I find it as an achivevement to know that someone actually read my review and decided to publish it on his/her page. Edited by Barla - October 15 2007 at 00:15 |
