   Sorcery At Hollow Rock : What is going on in the mind of the guitarist? More bluff than a bluffer at a bluff party in Bluffsville U.S.A. Bluff is not good music, and excessive use of flangers to hide it does not work to an old and crusty muso like me. I guess this fits into a kind of "experimental" category, but it's about as experimental as I get when I'm tuning my guitar. Stick in a recycled Hawkwind riff all you like, it doesn't hide the fact that there is a large amount of wannabee in here, and a very small amount of talent. The drummer needs a lesson or two, and a few ideas in the art of song construction as opposed to stringing semi-riffs together would be nice. The lack of variety in texture is very wearying - I'm not quite sure how I managed to listen to all 8 minutes - I guess I thought I might find something in there that suggested musical inventiveness...
Red Abyss : I love playing with all the "woooey" noises on keyboards as well - great fun, isn't it! Max gain on the old distortion unit - turn everything up to 11... Hmm. I guess there's a market for stuff that just sounds a certain way, with no actual ability behind it! It's like John Cage's 4'33" - anyone could have written and recorded it... oh, hang on, there's LOADS of stuff like this that actually develops into something on many a Groundhogs or Hawkwind album!!
I'm not listening to any more - I put Celebration of Demons on in the vain hope that something might materialise - but this isn't prog and has no place on this site. If only the music was as inventive as the titles, and the polish as good as the website.

	Here it is: Overview of Oblivion is the Sky: Oblivion is the Sky is a Progressive Rock Experiment. With concepts ranging from abyssal depths of the human mind to the collapsed perspective of transcending individuality. At times direction drifts off into acoustic ponderings and others into bass/drum rhythms lurking near the shadows. Different thought for different emotions strike passages of breaking light of the lost embracing lust for impression. The Instrumentals "Red Abyss" and "Liquid Silver Eyes" greatly pull the album together in its transition from a dark and cold theme to a aquatic atmosphere. Red Abyss is Oblivion is the Sky in it truest epic form. The music spawns from visions seen through medication and like experiences. This album tells the story of a traveler who voyages into the realms of his own inner space. The album as a whole tries to convey a surreal state, in which a confused minded man, retreats the world in a quest to make his own in the depth of the mind. His state is dark, as his thoughts were as he feel asleep, then his dream retreats into aquatic peace. Dimensions Album: This album is very dark and very instrumental although it is not an instrumental album. Each song is a progression to the next with all elements of the album blasting in your ear in the final weird coda that blends arrangements and samples from techno, electronica, and almost the kitchen sink. This album in even the bleakest mind could at least be called interesting. Aquatic Serene Album: This is an acoustic session recorded in January 2004. This is Oblivion is the Sky in very rare raw form. This album is a real departure from the electric epics but the feeling is still very compelling.
