I listened to Capitan Beto earlier today. What a song!

Capitán Beto is one of my favorites as well, Hyrchu. A song about a bus rider flying across space without a radio or a compass, longing for his home...

Thank you Logan, I think the opening track and some other passages certainly do.

Welcome, good to have you here, Santiago. I can't say it altogether fits the bill, but I would expect you to like Focus if you have not tried it (which I rather expect you have). Hamburger Concerto is terrific.

Hi everyone! My name is Santiago, I started listening to prog when I was 16, after I found this old cd my father had in the car, by the name of Selling England by the Pound... needless to say, there was no turning back. Back then, PA was the gateway to a lot of new music, and I distinctly remember learning about acts such as Gryphon and PFM here.
I recently took a deeper dive in the italian 70s scene and found myself navigating the forum once again. Discovering new music is among my favorite things to do, and I believe there's a lot of it going on around here...
My top 10 progressive bands at this time are

Genesis
Gentle Giant
King Crimson
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso
Premiata Forneria Marconi
Camel
Gryphon
Änglagård
Steven Wilson
Invisible...

...the latter one being perhaps my favorite act from my home country, Argentina. Their 3 albums, while being pretty different among themselves, should be a good listen to anyone interested in latin progressive rock.

I'd very much enjoy listening to more instrumental, baroque/classical oriented albums such as Di Terra by BMS, The Snow Goose by Camel, Escenes by Gotic or Red Queen to Gryphon Three by Gryphon. Any suggestions?

Saludos!
Santiago
