OK...thanks for the Discogs uidea.....
It seems that there are multiple bands here.... The S/T and II are from a "Doom metal from Baltimore, Maryland. They formed in 2005." Lone (2019) is from a "Funeral/Doom Metal Band from Portugal" Lucid Dreaming... (2022) is from O.A.K. (standing for Oscillazioni Alchemico Kreative) formed in 1993 in Italy Forests Precede People was NOT shown on Discogs, but I found a vague website listing it as being from a Post-Rock band, no country listed. As for the tracks featuring Maartin Allcock, of Fairport Convention/Jethro Tull fame, I only find references back to the compilation albums.... So, it looks like SIX bands here! I will get to editing the entries to differentiate them. |

Oak (2009) and II (2010) appear to be from a doom metal band in Baltimore.
Forests Precede People Desert Follow Them (2017) appears to be from an Italian band from Firenze (or Florence) Lone (2019) appears to be from a Portuguese doom metal band Lucid Dreaming and the Spectre of Nikola Tesla (2022) is from an Italian band that uses O.A.K. as an acronym and is short for Oscillazioni Alchemico Kreative. They are on Prog Archives here: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=10654 Not much on the Maartin Allcock collaboration. I could only find this: Hope that helps. Good luck!

OK...can't get screenshots to work, so, I'll list them. These are the ones PA lists: Lighthouse (2013) False Memory Archive (2018) ( A track from this one is on a Sampler from Karisma Records/Prog Magazine released in 2022-- We, the Drowned) The Quiet Rebellion of Compromise (2022) These are the others: Oak (S/T) 2009 II (2010) Forests Precede People Desert Follow Them (2017) Lone (2019) Lucid Dreaming and the Spectre of Nikola Tesla (2022) Additionally, I have a compilation of live prog tracks that has been released under 2 different titles (The Amazing World of Prog and Prog Exhibition Vol 2.) that contains tracks called Baba Gaia and Murfatlarst. Both tracks are credited in collaboration with Maartin Allcock. If anyone has any knowledge of these releases, please let me know. Thanks! |

Discogs, RYM, and MusicBrainz match what is in our database...
My guess is Apple isn't differentiating between the different Oaks. Bands really need to consider coming up with more unique names for themselves.

The listing for the band OAK that is on PA shows only 3 studio albums, and says they formed in 2013. However, in my Apple music library, I have several additional albums going back to 2009. Any info? I'll post screenshots of the library shortly.
