Apocalypse 1976 Demo Album Reissue - "The Castle" LP is released on Vinyl and Digital March 25, 2022 on Guerssen's Out-Sider Record Label, and is now is listed on PA. Apocalypse 1976 band line up: Michael Salvatori - Band Leader, Composer, Lead Vocals, Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Recorder Gail Salvatori - Keyboards, Synths, Violin, Backing Vocals Tom Salvatori - Bass, Electric and Classical Guitar, Recorder Scott Magnesen - Drums, Percussion Back Story: In September, 1976, Apocalypse recorded a prog rock demo reel-to-reel tape in a basement studio in Elmhurst, IL intended to help us book gigs on the college circuit. We played a handful of shows, but split up in mid-1977 as it was time for Scott and I to head off to college...and all was forgotten. The next time we even thought about the recording was in 1999 when my brother Mike's recording studio suffered a complete-loss fire, and we thought our Apocalypse demo was lost in the fire. Then, in 2021, Mike unearthed an old storage bin full of CDs and tapes of various sorts in his basement, and while rummaging through them, he found the Apocalypse reel-to-reel master demo at the bottom of the bin! When we found the tape was nicely preserved, one thing led to another...and we wound up signing on with Guerssen Records in Spain to produce an LP release...46 years later! What you’ll hear on "The Castle" is our “live - no edits, no overdubs” performance of five of the songs we played as a band back then. Enjoy! - Tom Salvatori, the bass player in Apocalypse, June, 2022
