^ I doubt it's possible to place all instruments and recording equipment on top of a mountain, especially for recording the entire album.

In the past year I seem to recall reading about a praised album that was recorded on top of a mountain while I was browsing PA. But I can't remember what it was called and I can't find it now. The closest thing I can seem to find is by Los Jaivas, but that album, while being about Machu Picchu, seems to have been recorded mostly in France, not on a mountain. However I'm pretty sure it was by a South American band. Can anyone point me towards what that album might have been? Or am I misremembering?

Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)
