Hello, all proggers and suggesters! THE ARTIST SUBMISSION PROCESS WAS UPDATED IN MARCH 2020. PLEASE READ BELOW.

Please be aware that each Prog Archives subgenre Team is dedicated to producing as complete, according to certain standards and expectations, a progressive rock database as is possible, and is dedicated to working hard towards this goal -- e.g. evaluating candidates, writing biographies, editing discographies, or adding artists in the Database -- and especially that every Team is voluntarily working in his/her "busy" real life.

In view of such a tough situation, we Prog Archives Collaborators need your big help to enrich the Database. Your great support should be our progressive power definitely, therefore it's fine for us all you can keep band submission procedure mentioned below.

Please suggest only bands / artists which have a signed status. This means either a physical item like full-length (about 30 minute or more) CD / DVD / Vinyl for sale on demand must be available and / or complete albums for download are offered via services like iTunes and similar (Artists only via Bandcamp / Soundcloud / other digital streaming websites etc. cannot usually be accepted). Otherwise please use the Prog Archives forum topic Unsigned Bands.
You have two options to do a suggestion.

1) Use the newly defined Suggest New Bands/Artists subforum.

- First of all, all collaborators in subgenre Teams are working hard as "volunteer workers", and all suggesters must understand that "no collaborator is paid, so all evaluations are done on volunteered time", so not rush nor bump for evaluation / addition.

- Please the suggester provide information about an artist as follows:

 a) Title: PROJECT NAME - ONLY ONE POSSIBLE SUBGENRE
 b) Provide an original biography written by the suggester (for addition) ... not copy nor paste via the artist's page (except permitted by himself / herself / themselves), an artist's pic (with the scale of 500 pixels or more).
 c) Provide legal links for streamable samples of the band's music that checkers and team members can listen to (no clips nor excerpts).
 d) If you have listenable / assessable material that would aid in evaluation, you can upload these in .zip or .rar format to file sending websites such as rapidshare, sendspace, wetransfer, and so on, and send them to Admin or the Team member(s) of the genre that you are suggesting the band should be evaluated under (for example here).
e) Provide links to the bands official website, websites that have written about the band, or helpful links in general.

... If the process above is not kept enough, your precious suggestion might not be found nor done by Teams.
Please revise or upgrade your old suggestion(s) as above mentioned if you have suggested artists previously which could not be evaluated.

2) Use the email suggestion method, written by Uwe (Rivertree)

Please provide information about an artist just like posting in Suggest New Bands / Artists subforum (mentioned a) ~ e) as above). Create a .zip or .rar archive with all samples included, upload it to a free sharing service website (rapidshare, sendspace, wetransfer, etc.) and finally forward the download link to [email protected] as well as your explanation of why this band/artist should be added to Prog Archives and in which sub-genre.

Again mentioned, all collaborators in Prog Archives are voluntarily working, and please be patient Teams must spare time for evaluation / addition.

Thank you for your contribution.

P.S. And again many thanks to collaborators who gave me fantastic opinions. Star
