Diving into as many recommended tracks as I can. Just listened to Aragon's The Crucifixion for the first time. Old-school, raw, neo-prog for sure, but not without its charm and complexity too. Here's to some more finds in the months to come. Looking forward to Volume 3 too, Kev! 👍

So pleased you’re enjoying them - took years to pull these all together but totally worth it. Vol 3 is my favorite - the interviews and gig reviews really remind me of that time. Pleased you enjoyed The Crucifixion as well, so much great music from that period

I am pleased to announce that the second volume of my three books on the underground progressive scene between 1991 and 2006 has been released by Gonzo Media. Together, the three books contain all my progressive demo/CD/Video/DVD and gig reviews from that period, as well as all the progressive interviews I undertook. Following on from Volume 1, which featured artists A-H,  Volume 2 contains all my demo/CD reviews from I-S, while Volume 3 (which has been completed) contains T-Z, plus DVD/Video/live reviews and interviews. I firmly believe there has not been another series like it, containing reviews which were written at the time by someone close to the scene, instead of looking back into it from the present day. Volume 2 is larger than Volume 1, at 340, pages, while Volume 3 is larger again. As before, each volume also contains the artwork for each release, including the demo tapes, all printed in colour. Volume 2 has a foreword by Mark Colton and comments on the rear cover from Nick Barrett and Martin Orford.

Many people thought this day would never come, probably including me, but the first two are now available while the third is also completed and will be available soon. It has taken more than five years to get to this point, and has been an epic piece of work, as some half a million words had to be captured digitally, but finally, it is done. I hope you like it

Here is the list of artists reviewed in this volume, many multiple times:-
