Topic: The music business: From Producers to Promoters Posted: July 22 2017 at 18:08 |
I may be misplacing this topic, feel free to move, but it doesn't to quite fit the music lounges descriptions.
We have a forum for music and musicians exchange, but we don't specifically for producers, audio engineers, promoters, IT people working for labels/ media companies, record store owners, roadies, gophers, accountants, legal advisers, you name it. If it relates to music it counts.
I think we had such a topic before, but my computer is running slow, so searches time out.
Basically I'm interested in the stories of anyone who has worked in the music industry or on the music business side to any extent. For that matter, people who do non-profit work too.
My brother has a music label and he ran a music festival (it's a side-line of his away from his work as a mediator), but I never really got involved.
So tell us your stories. How did you get into it and what have you done?
