   Hi there, Introducing Scriptures, from Nottingham. Below is a draft of the press release for their due to be released second EP. They are ever on the look out for gigs and like minded bands.

It wasn’t so much a hiatus, but Scriptures may have seemed rather quiet of late. 

Quiet no more!

Recently augmented to a full time five piece band, for 2017 these Future Sound of Nottingham finalists stand regenerated, rejuvenated and ready to challenge the limitations of our consciousness.

Hot on the heels of this renaissance comes their second EP. 

Lucid takes us on a journey through a mind, from despair to there and back again, via crystalline vocals, soaring guitars and, at times, crushing distortion.

In an age of identikit indie, Scriptures stand clear of the pack with vocals that are sung, rather than bellowed, and guitars that are allowed to stretch their legs and explore their full dynamic.

Scriptures restore a sense of adventure and experimentation that has long been missing from music..

Lucid will be officially launched on May 5 at Nottingham’s famous Bodega, and will be available for digital download, accompanied by a limited run of CDs, via their Bandcamp site and selected retail outlets in Nottingham.
