Haven't posted a suggestion here myself in ages, but I really enjoyed listening to this band, and so here are some brief details (I won't go 'over the top' with detail like I used to do - mainly because the Neo team (apart from Keishiro, who recently rejoined to try and get things moving again there) are still away on another planet somewhere.
![]() This a bit of slightly edited info from the Musea Records page where the CD is for sale: GEPETTO is a French Progressive rock band led by George PINILLA of George' s Shop DVD and Video store. His new (debut) album "From Heaven To The Stars ..." (2016) takes us on a fabulous musical journey somewhat reminiscent of bands such as The Alan PARSONS PROJECT, Mike OLDFIELD, PINK FLOYD etc crossed with Neo Progressive acts like MOSTLY AUTUMN, PENDRAGON, QUIDAM. It adds in a few Latin atmospheres too, such as those of TRIANA, LOCKED, PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI - but with an identity all of its own. In short, an hour of music combining freshness with nostalgia in a strong context of emotions and sensitivity. Well worth a listen, and available on CD via Musea Records (see link above). Release date: May 2016 Tracklist: 1. Lady (9:53) 2. Tu (10:21) 3. Always (10:18) 4. Photographs Of Stars (7:38) 5. Sol (11:44) 6. For The Heavens (10:06) Total time 60:00 Line-up: - George Pinilla / vocals (2, 5), choirs, guitars, moog, mellotron With - Chantal / voice (6) - Julien / vocals (1, 3), piano, keyboards - Tony / bass - Stéphan / drums, percussions - Chris / vocals (4, 6), choirs, additional keyboards, guitars - Marc / keyboards (6) I guess it'll be a while before this suggestion actually goes anywhere, so I'll leave it at that for now... ![]() |
