Hello again, prog friends!
We have a new album out. This is a collaboration between us and the local musician and producer "Lamb-Man". With a different approach, this new volume features six original compositions by "Lamb-Man" and Lana Lee. The style of this new album ranges from 80's post-punk sounds (perhaps, due to the presence of synthesizers and programming) to experimental with some post-rockery in between. The music is based on the main characters of the novel "A Confederacy of Dunces", written by John Kennedy Toole. As extra stuff, there is also an instrumental-oriented cover of "Six Pack", the classic song by Black Flag. This is a blindfold recording because we didn't know who wrote the original and it was not revealed until we finished it. How was it possible?. The reason why was that "Lamb-Man" modified the structure in a way that is actually difficult to identify it although it may be used as a back track for karaoke-singing. The recording, mixing and production process was handled by ourselves between June and November of 2017 while the mastering was done by "Lamb-Man" on December of 2017. Dear prog-friends,
We have a new album out. Here's a brief info about it: This is the fourth volume of our experimental releases, entitled "M.D.A.H VOL.4 - La Furia". For this occasion we teamed with guitarist David Pascual, an old fiend and founding member of Lana Lee. We have had collaborated with him recently on "999", but this record is focused entirely on the interaction among us. In fact, this is the second time in Lana Lee's history that the original dual-guitar section is featured on a full album since the 2005 demo. The recording took place at our practice space and was made live on ten tracks. All music was developed "on the fly", so this a is a totally improvised stuff. We arranged a single session the 20th of May of 2017 and let it go. The album was mixed and produced by Lana Lee & David between May and June of 2017. The mastering was done by our friend and musician Carlos Lambán on July of 2017. You can listen to and download for free at our Bandcamp page: And it is also available on streaming formats: - YouTube (full playlist): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLfkqOE4SaypciT9rTLE-RoJVAILh-ZRL Enjoy it at full volume Cheers! LANA LEE PS: After jamming over two hours, we finished the session with "Lana Lee Fear Satan", a jam-oriented cover of Scottish post-rockers Mogwai. Here it is if you want to give it a listen: |

Hello!
We would like to introduce ourselves: We are Lana Lee (3lanalee), a three-piece instrumental band from Zaragoza, Spain which has a distinctive and quite melodic style. Among the diverse influences, it’s possible to notice a psychedelic rock vibe, occasional “post-rock” traces with progressive passages (some songs are lengthy, featuring complex structures and transitions between parts).
Despite not being strictly a "prog" band we have a certain affinity to the genre and this influence has been growing gradually since we turned into instrumental. We are very pleased to announce that we have just released our newest, and self-titled EP. It’s our fourth studio recording (and our second fully instrumental work since 2012). You can listen to it and download at: http://lanalee.bandcamp.com/album/ Thank you very much for sharing. Best regards! LANA LEE |
