Why they couldn't have announced this before is anyone's guess.

They obviously hoped people would get tickets for both days without knowing who was on when. What they failed to take into account of course is what a bunch of tightwads we are!

I think you're right. They failed to realise that many people just held off buying a ticket until the line-ups were announced. I emailed this suggestion to them but got no response.

I'm a lot happier now that Wishbone Ash have swapped with Focus (nothing against Focus but I'd rather see Ash play Argus). Still gutted about Transatlantic, Opeth and Zappa though.

Definitely Sunday for me given this line-up, but it's a shame to be missing out on Focus and Touchstone who I really wanted to see.

Full line-up has been announced

The only change I can see to my list above is that Wishbone Ash and Focus have swapped days, which is good for me as they will be playing the whole of Argus!

Just seen on Facebook, the lineups are being announced at 10:00 tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if they match the ad in Classic Rock!

The High Voltage web site still says "line up to be confirmed" for both days. Angry

I was told it would be announced today (by someone from the High Voltage web site) and the ad in Classic Rock has a definite split of names between the 2 days. However it wouldn't come as a massive surprise if this was still incorrect.
I hope Wishbone Ash are on Sunday - I'd love to hear Argus. I guess we need to wait for the official word on the HV web site.

The official split of who's playing when will be announced on Wednesday this week, according to the admin on the High Voltage messageboard.

Chopper, I think Wishbone Ash are playing on Sunday, at least that's what their website says. Looks like most of the bands I want to see are on Sunday so that will save me a much needed sixty quid! (shame Touchstone are on Saturday though)

I didn't really know where to post this, but anyways... me and my friend are going to be in London from 24th-25th (maybe a day more), and I am wondering if anyone from around Victoria Park is kind enough to offer two progheads their couch (couchsurfing, hell yeah (we're from Slovenia, so we can return the favour if it comes to that))? Or, at least reccomend us some cheap accomodation. Thanks!

Anyone? There must be some couchsurfers here. Or at least people, who are willing to accept two progheads for two nights into their home.

I think it's called "making everyone hang on as long as possible in the hope that they will give up waiting and buy weekend tickets".
I emailed them to get that date and I did mention that I know of at least 5 people who are holding off buying tickets until the full line-up and schedule is announced. They didn't comment on this.

As Andy says, they must know who's playing when.

Why the 26th of April? What's so special about that day? This festival has been organised for bloody ages, they know perfectly well who's playing when, and have done for ages.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

That's such a joke... 26th April?! How ridiculous. It's a shame everything has to be so money-grabbing, especially for just wanting to appreciate good music!

This is the response I got.

"The full line ups split by day will be announced on 26th April. Please keep checking our website. Also a program with stage times will be available on site on the days of the event."

So it sounds like we won't know what time bands are on until the day. And they didn't respond to my question about whether you can swap days because you can't find out who's onwhen.

Cheers Andy

I've just fired off an email to the organisers asking them when they're going to publish a full schedule. I'll let you know in the unlikely event of them telling me anything useful.

If Marillion are headlining on the prog stage and ELP on the classic stage, then I guess that means we cant see both, unless the organisors use their common sense and ensure that one stage wraps up before the other, or they have a side by side twin stage set up like the old Reading festival.

Oh, and Christ alive, Venom?? The Quireboys??? They should be in the comedy tent!

I'm toying with the idea of going both days now. I dont want to miss Opeth. I've already issed out on their Royal Albert Hall show. I;d like to see Transatlantic too. If I decide to only go one day, it will be the Sunday, so I'll let you know what I'm doing, Alan.

Ignore previous comment about Marillion - their website has them down as playing Sunday 25th.

Andy
all I know is what's on the forum on the High Voltage site

Sunday

Classic
Bachman Turner, Quireboys, Joe Bonamassa, UFO, ELP (headlining)

Prog
Wishbone Ash, Steve Hackett, The Reasoning, Magnum, Focus, Uriah Heep, Argent (on immediately before Marillion), Marillion (headlining)

Metal

Audrey Horne, Clutch, Venom, Down (headlining)
Still a pretty good prog line up but I'm gutted about Transatlantic and Opeth - I've already ordered my ticket for Sunday. I could have gone Saturday but I don't really want to go both days. It's Censored annoying that they won't release a schedule. They're obviously doing this to try and sell more weekend tickets but don't they realise that people are holding off buying tickets until they know the full lineup? Knobheads.

PS - just seen an update in the forum. Apparently Marillion's website says they're playing Saturday!!! If that's true, then who out of them, Transatlantic and Opeth are headlining?
