It's an ear.

I don't like Nektar's Down to Earth, but the music is good.

Pink Floyd - Meddle.  Great album, but what the...is that supposed to be on the cover?  The Final Cut is another one.  Great album, boring cover.

Oh and the Steve Hackett covers with impressionistic paintings of Steve.  I much preferred Kim Poor's earlier fantasy based artwork.

I hate GFTO as well.  The Dean covers really complete the Yes albums for me so this one just doesn't really cut it.

the better question... what's to like about it... looks like a middle school art student's  last minute attempt to put something together the night before it was due LOL

It looks kinda like an I Spy puzzle to me! LOL

(I have nothing against the artwork by the way.)

Uh Zappa has some of the absolute worst art covers!!!
Grand Wazoo has a pretty nice cover.  I actually like the Sheik Yerbouti cover.  It does what it was meant to do, get a laugh.

Most of the art since the mid 60s looks like that Micky, which doesn't mean it isn't less great or worthy. I love this one, too.

I'll agree to alll of that.   But here's a  few covers that I really hate.

'Presto' by Rush. Very good album, rather silly cover.

'Duke' by Genesis. Their last great album, with a cover that ranks alongside Invisible Touch as their worst artwork. IMO.

I think it would have been artistic.. not to mention reflective of the year of release.. 1968... if they had changed the art work of the White Album...  and made it purple.
