Forget all this new Kayo Dot album and 65DOS stuff. You need to give some of this a shot: http://www.last.fm/music/Fire%2520Spoken%2520by%2520the%2520Buffalo?ac=Fire%20Spoken%20By
Also, i agree that "Sunrise" is pretty kick ass. Edited by Dominic - April 22 2010 at 22:48 |

Just received the new Ef album in the mail yesterday - called Mourning
Golden Morning.
A review is up on The Silent Ballet site http://thesilentballet.com/dnn/Reviews/tabid/54/ctl/Details/mid/438/ItemID/3248/Default.aspx. Good music. Anyone hear the new My Education album called Sunrise? |

I've just found some lesser gems from China such as oNEwAY, Fang4 Gao1, Lava/Ox/Sea (this band's albums can be downloaded for free from their myspace blog), Hualun and 48V. Even though these bands are not as great as the bands from Japan, they are still cool and unique.

Two new 65daysofstatic songs. Tiger Girl and Crash Tactics And album art.
![]() I kind of have to say meh on all counts, although some of Crash Tactics was pretty good, if not very post-rock. I used to love One Time for All Time, but it seems they've gotten worse or I've gotten over them. Edited by Henry Plainview - April 18 2010 at 02:20 |

Dont forget to add Envy to the list of Asian Post-Rock! A Dead Sinking Story is one of my favorite albums right now. The most emotional music you may ever hear.

I agree that those bands you mentioned are really great. There are more bands to check out: Hologram (JPN) Presence of Soul (JPN) Glittering Blackness, Fall (Korea) Their debut EP. is highly recommended for those who like melancholic melodies. Loro's (Korea) Deepset (Malaysia) The Observatory (Singapore) This band, I think, has variety of genres, but their music is usually coined as Space Rock. |

They're pretty darn good from what i can remember. I'll have to check those others that you mentioned. About "Asian" Post-Rock, i haven't heard too many bands, but i know that most of us here are familiar with LITE & Toe. I'm a big fan of the band Naan; (from Japan) i also like Sgt., but they don't hold my interest for too long.

I've been into Post-Rock for around 2 years. And lately, I've got some of cool Asian stuffs like Sugar Plum Ferry, Mudy on the Sakuban and the local (=Thai) band, Forgot Your Case (their debut album is really awesome). And I think this year there will be more on Post-Rock to hear.
Anyone interested in Asian Post-Rock scene? |

I've just started getting into post rock, have all the GY!BE albums and they're amazing, just today picked up:
Millions now living will never die (tortoise) All is Violent, All is Bright (God is an Astronaut) All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone (Explosions in the Sky) Agaetis Byrjun (sigur Ros) Takk (Sigur Ros) Goodbye Enemy Airship the Landlord is dead (Do Make Say Think) Only started listening to the Tortoise album but it's fantastic. Hooray for post-rock |

Wow.... thanks Alex, they sound amazing. Super nice find ![]() EDIT: Damn, seems like "Dordeduh" would fit in the Post Metal section quite nicely. One of those vids from their live show even gave me a wonderful "Shora" feel.
