Autechre _NTS Sessions_

A massive leap forward for the duo.  8 hours! long, autechre have opened their songs as if time and space have been expanded.  And within the gaps between they have found a minutiae of details that once again keep ae at the forefront of tomorrow's music today.  What _Selected Ambient Works Volume II_ was to the 1990's, _NTS Sessions_ is to the present.  Which is to say the future.

Prog or not, highly recommended.

Wow, thanks for that.  Handily one of the more interesting prog rock sounds I've heard of late.  Streaming now and already looking for their CDs.

new Dream Theater album. Distance Over Time.

If people loved Train Of Thought from them, you'll surely appreciate this one .
Its a beauty . Its heavy and it is melodic and it is complicated as f**k .
Sheet academia.

Greetings to all here, I am a newbie so please excuse my hick-ups as I learn to move around.

Anyway back to the topic of recommendations. Just last week I found out about this new band from Poland - The Third Project. They released their debut album "When Remembrance Becomes A Thing" last year, but so far it is only available on the bandcamp.
Initially did not think too much of it because of the price (less than $2) and how many hit it has there, but then the cover and description looked very interesting. Hearing the music I almost fell off my chair, it sounded simply awesome ... that is if you can bear some English deficiencies there, although, the vocal itself is very good and fits the music. But then the music .. Oh My God ... simply loved it, best prog music I have heard in years even if recording and production are less then top notch. Especially worth noting are the title track and the 4th track "The Sea of Slaves". Bought it on the spot (fell almost embarrassed paying this little) and made the CD-R of it and it is still spinning. Below is the link so please go and check for yourselves and let me know if my sanity is still in check Shocked

https://the-third-project.bandcamp.com/releases

It seems the band is virtually unknown judging by how many buyers are there. Hopefully they gain enough recognition to release it on CD or the vinyl. Perhaps my comment there will help a bit.

Let me know what you think, Peter

I reccomend Fabrizio De Andrč & PFM: In concerto, voll I and II

Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.
