This year will be a pretty good year for the titans, they did better than any other team in the draft, I don't think they'll win they're division the Colts will probably take it, but they will edge the Jags at a playoff wild card spot.
The Texans will do better than in previous years but still have a losing record, as will the the Saints.
The Cardinals may make the playoffs if not they will be close, if they do make the playoffs they won't advance.
The Raiders will have the worst record in the NFL followed by the 49ers.
If the Colts had a better running game they would win the Superbowl next season, it'll be a team from the south, maybe the Bucs or the Panthers.
Also Denver and NY Giants will do good.

it's gotta be Steelers all the way!
...not to mention the Hokies
now THAT's football.
|
Steelers winning last year was the biggest fluke I'd seen in my life. If not for the critical injury in the Bengals game they would have been crushed, and then The Colts had their game won after that botched run but because of terrible play calling *sigh*.
My blind faith tells me The Eagles will come out on top as it does every year, but logically I'm feeling really confident about The Panthers. |
agreed. The Eagles have a good chance, but I feel more confident about the Panthers this year.

No it isn't. If it was called soccer, the international governing body would be called FISA rather than FIFA.

Even as a hardline Arsenal fan, I can't forsee Arsenal winning the Premier League because of Chelsea's damn 50 million pound spending spree!

 realistically i would be flabergasted if we (sheff utd) finished in 19th place. |
Yea.. You never know, because Wigan was just promoted plus they actually reached the finals of the Carling Cup by beating Arsenal!

As for that bizarre rugby-with-body-armour affair that the ex-colonials are so fond of, I predict that this season's Superdish finalists will be the Arkansas Rednecks and the Tampa Bay Tampons, with the Arkansas Rednecks to win on points after photo finish in the 12th round. |
I think the Chelsea Complainers will win, or the Arsenal Actors. Or maybe the Rotterdamn (fake) Racicts.

Maybe because the teams don't have as much money as larger European teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, etc. I must admit Brazilian football isn't exactly more interesting than European football, but its more competitive
@Soul Dreamer- Well, Henry isn't exactly as explosive for country as he is for Arsenal, same with Shevchenko it seems. Playing against tougher defenses in the World Cup is also why. Shevchenko and Chelsea should have no problem beating up on all the smaller English teams such as Sheffield Utd, Wigan, Portsmouth, etc. But it seems Arsenal has trouble with that. I remember a lot of the games last year, Arsenal had consistent problems with smaller English teams.

Check also Brazilian National, the Brasileirão, where play the real stars not those fake sold to Europe...
No favorite, buddies, we're just in the beginning (10 rounds played) and all teams may be champions.
1st Division (Série A) Classification:
Last year champ, Corinthians, is in the red zone (candidate to go to 2nd Division).
2nd Division (Série B) Classification:
Very interesting with the presence of 4 former champs: Atlético-MG, Guarani, Sport, Coritiba.
P.S.: Football fans aren't n00bs!!!

For all the talk of Chelsea's money, look at who they've actually bought this summer: Ballack & Shevchenko, neither of whom set the world alight at the WC (and divers both, let it be noted........)........so they may not be as unassailable as you think...

Actually, I'm not that negative about Arsenal. They have kept Thierry Henry, in my opinion the best scorer in the Premiership. Furthermore, Lehmann is an excellent keeper, and they have lots of other great players (Ashley Cole, Robin v. Persie, Fabregas just to name a few). Furthermore, you can buy good players, but not a good team. And in my opinion Chelsea got worse towards the end of last season (and I hope that trend continues....)

PS. can anyone explain how, in the latest FIFA rankings, released today, Portugal have gone down one place, to ninth, whereas England have gone up five places to fifth???? |
Officially we drew with Portugal, cause it was on penalties.

England : Sheffield Utd
Scotland : Celtic
Italy : Inter Milan
Germany : Bayern Munich
France : Lyon
Spain : Real Madrid
And why do half of the responses in this thread have to be about American football, or complaining about another football thread, if you don't like it just shut up. Did you think people just stop caring about football when the world cup ends?
