Pink Floyd at Live8 Was Amazing

PINK FLOYD belong to eternity. You have missed their concert performance (just as I) but the most important thing remains intact -- their music is the property of the universe. I cannot state the same about any other musician (musical band). They did not 'invent' their music but 'discovered' it. PINK FLOYD music is just as Maxwell equations of electrodynamics. In the first case the discoverers are: Waters, Gilmour, Wright, Mason and in the second Maxwell. But the music and the equations live independently from their discoverers, although the discoverers will be remembered as long as manking lives.

All other music is just custom-made and is more the property of its discoverers than the property of the world.  

PINK FLOYD is the life philosophy. When I see somebody knowingly wearing a prism on the T-shirt I know we are one person.

Yes, you DID miss something

That absolutely amazing. One of the greatest live performances I've ever seen.

Nick Mason fits in to make Floyd music what it is. Someone like Neil Peart would just completely ruin the essence of Floyd. Sometimes you have to have the one who fits best, and not the one who is best.

Did anyone see Roger's frantically trembling hands? He was nervous as hell. I bet he hasn't played to a crowd like that in 20 years.

That was probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I was on the brink of tears, and let it be known that I have never cried for any song, ever. I am not ashamed to say that, had I been there, I would have been in a crumpled heap on the floor, paralyzed with emotion and with tears streaming down my cheeks.

Floyd were the best on the show. There is absolutely no question about that. The Who rocked, too. I think it was:

Hey AHM...you have the lyrics to Echoes on your signature. I am not sure but I always thought it was two seperate glances meet....

Nick did get a bit carried away at one point and stumbled all over Gilmore's guitar solo with some unecessary fills on Comfortably Numb,but other than that did fine.Great show by Floyd although Waters voice is now totally 'shot' ..old age taking its toll.
