This is my second night going to the festival, except I got paid for it tonight. That is absolutely true. The counterpoint made by the voice against the piano is excellent. Last night highlighted the more experimental pieces and was therefore better. Tonight's was about his war songs.

Awesome.  Clap

I'll post similar when this arrives - actually I'll post a pic of the HC and Magma boxes side by side.  Tongue

I'm going to be working at a concert of Charles Ives's works during the Super Bowl. I consider this to be a success.

Yes but you like Magma and RIO, so you're excused. Wink

You also don't think Coors or Bud Light is the best beer in the world.

Very true.  Big smile

So who's playing anyhow? LOLEmbarrassed

The Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This is the first visit to the Super Bowl for the Cardinals.

John Ellis also played guitar in K-Group, I think.

The live tracks are Evans, yes.

Magma's debut is just the bottom of the summit.

I have yet to listen to The Margin +

But Rob desperately needs Veracious.  It's amazing.

Best set of lives songs ever.  Like Veronica, Bubble and Primo on the Parapet are exceptional and so of course, is Easy to Slip Away, perhaps one of my favourite Hammill compositions.

Plus Stuart Gordon is my favourite violinist too.

I prefer most of Magma's debut side 2 to most of MDK. There ya go.

The Margin + is generally pretty good. Very rocky, vocals take a bit of getting used to (I love 'em now... took me two or three listens to appreciate what he's doing), most importantly, + has versions of Again and Modern (Clap), which are two of my favourite Hammill compositions. The Future Now knocks the stuffing out of the studio versions. Guy Evans, as always, is superb, and my respect for Nic Potter has increased substantially because of it.

Deinitely try Veracious.  You won't regret it.

Is The Margin + with The K Group?

The very same.

I thought Manny Elias was drummer for K Group?

It's Evans here, not sure about the studio releases... you probably know better about those than I.
