This poll should be moved to the "Prog-related" forum.

I think this is a case where the commercial breakthrough reflected the peak of creativity, that is The Grand Illusion. They had done some fine recordings before, notably Equinox and Styx II, and the only thing comparable afterwards was the follow-up Pieces of Eight.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

Equinox by far..... Suite Madam Blue is special
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Well...the only good thing about Styx is their name.
I voted Grand Illusion..at least there are a couple of decent tracks on that one.

Can't beat "The Grand Illusion". The whole first side is the happiest music I know. All great songs. "Paradise Theater" and "Pieces of Eight" are also really strong though.

They're probably not considered prog, but hell ill do it anyway. This is Styx, an American rock band from Chicago and decided to do something like this on my spare time. So, what do u think?? Oh and also, the first four albums with the slash in the middle represent the 2 titles used for the same album
