Good question--but past Yes records had sections written in the same way, but the music flowed from one part to the next.

"prepare to be pleasantly surprised by the album. It's got a contemporary edge but it's not 90125. If you're a Yes fan the chances are you'll be more than happy with Fly From Here."
That's a quote from the magazine Classic Rock Presents Prog---the record will be reviewed in their next issue. As a life long Yes fan, I'm excited to hear the new music---my hope is to not miss Jon too much. The title's of the songs already sound like something JA would not come up with.

Wait, the epic isn't divided into tracks, is it? That would suck.

It starts with what looks like a multi-part epic... sounds promising....

Great to see that a Swedish online shopping site was the first to leak out the news!
![]() This new album will directly effect my decision of whether I want to see the live gig on December 9th here in Stockholm (Solna, to be precise), Sweden. Edited by Rune2000 - May 22 2011 at 07:24 |

Nice to see an old fashioned Roger Dean cover.
I've got a short version of We Can Fly From Here on The Word Is Live and it's a good song so I'm looking forward to this.

I'm currently working on the Yes FFH layout and... I can tell you: this is going to be one of the best Roger Dean's cover in Years. -Giulio Cataldo-

good old WIKI
Fly from Here is the upcoming twenty-first studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes. It is expected to be released July 12, 2011 on Frontiers Records in the US,[2][1] and 22 June on Avalon in Japan. The album takes its name from its title song.[1] love the album cover |

Was he really so different? There are good examples when bands hired completely different singers (Coverdale after Gillan, Dio instead Ozzy, Lawton after Byron), Trevor Horn in my opinion is not the same case.

![]() That has to be Roger Dean's worst album cover yet. It's like he's not even trying anymore.

Title comes from the title track, which will be an epic-length piece that is expanded from a song that they wrote with Drama lineup.

Or, for that matter, to Oliver Wakeman... "circular firing squad" seems to apply here.
