I can enjoy very much Hard Rock, even maybe not quite so many different bands, and if one album per artist, 
my top 12 albums is something like (in alphabetical order):

                Alice Cooper - School's Out (1972)
                Black Sabbath - Paranoid (1970)
		Captain Beyond - Captain Beyond (1972)
                Deep Purple - Fireball (1971)
		Golden Earring - Moontan (1973)
                Jethro Tull - Benefit (1971)
                Led Zeppelin - IV (1971)
                Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Solar Fire (1974)
                Pearl Jam - Ten (1991)
		Scorpions - Lonesome Crow (1972)
		Uriah Heep - Look at Yourself (1971)
		The Who - Quadrophenia (1973)
