Interesting is that Nissan has improved their cars such that today's Altima is a lot like (and maybe even better than) the Maxima of the mid 90s, and probably today's Sentra is like the old Altima. Sounds like your car is starting to exceed the annoyance threshold - for me, if I have to visit the shop that many times, it's time to get a another car (just happened with my wife's old Chevy Prism, now she has a Subaru Forrester - vast improvement! ![]() also slight correction: I probably was driving a '94 Altima because I had it all of senior year, but they prob. didn't change too much from what you have. |

I dont drive (surprising for a petrol head isnt it) but a friend of mine has a Fiat Punto from 97, it was in good nick when he bought it for £800 last year, but in that year he's spent over £1000 having work done to it, the most recent was an engine rebuild after he head gasket failed, probably due to damage caused by the water pump disintergrateing the week before.
Another mate of mine had a Peugeot 106 and had a great trick with it, he';d pull the hand brake whilst doing 70+ down the motorway, needless to say that it would scare the sh*t out of passengers who didnt know the hand brake didnt work. ![]() |

Our friends used to have one & one time they stopped at traffic lights & were seen by some of their mates, who then proceeded to walk over, tip the Reliant on its side & walk away again. |

I'm still learning to drive but as a result of changes of model and instructor I've driven quite a few cars, the old design of Vauxhall Corsa (both petrol and diesel) and the new model (diesel only), the latest Ford Focus (the 1.8 TDi
![]() the worst car I've driven is either the petrol Corsa or my Mum's Punto which both feel very slow and don't handle well outside of a city, the best is easily the Focus which can go like sh*t off a shovel and is very comfortable to drive. |

I absolutely HATE Volkswagen Bugs. Whenever I ride in the back of one, I hit my head on the side (which I don't even want to know what happens if the car gets hit on the side) and sitting in the front ain't too fun either.
(NOTE: Never drove in it, but hate every time I ride in one.) |

The problem is that it's old and stuff keeps breaking. It must've been masterliness back in the day. My dad has the new Altima and it's great. ![]() |

Anything that gets under 15 mpg is crap, IMO. Including Ferraris and McLarens (though they do go awful fast).

actually, the relationship is traditionally reciprocal rather than a linear equating and which part of "my wife owned one" did you miss and for the record I have size 11 feet and a nose like Concorde.

And the Lancia Y10 (predecessor to the Fiart Seicento) - my wife owned one - a great little car that could wind itself up to 100mph given enough road (the M4 from the Membury services to the Seven Bridge was just about sufficient). At the time of it's release it was used to advertise the Pentax 110mm SLR camera (the worlds smallest SLR) - needless to say, wife had to have one of those too.

My father once was a passenger in a Reliant Robin Van when it tipped over at a roundabout.
![]() I also almost had an accident with one coming up a steep hill, but that wasn't his fault. I wasn't expecting a three-wheeler to come up such a steep hill! |

24-year-old Leslie Pluhar's Zastava Yugo was blown completely off the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan during a strong wind. High speed was to blame[15] ![]() |
