Best album of the 21st century

So, those albums can be considered among the very best in a kind of objective, or more proper intersubjective, way of speaking.

I can’t pick one album, but I think it would be something from Steven Wilson, Opeth, Tool or Wobbler. Maybe Riverside could sneak in. The biggest challenge is that I don’t listen as much today to the music I played all the time ten years ago. Today I would be a lot more inclined to pick Wobbler since the haydays of Porcupine Tree, SE solo, Opeth and Tool may be in the past.

I have to say though that there is so much good music made the past 21 years. Prog is by no means dead. Some of it even challenge the best works from the 60-70’s.

There are some people that don't fit into that category though and just prefer older stuff like you do.  I suppose to the general public modern prog(no matter where you want to draw the lines)doesn't even really exist so to them it's just Pink Floyd and maybe a few other bands(all from the 70's).
