Sometimes girls just hate men doing anything for them though... ungrateful girls!
Me: "I'll open the door for you" Girl: "NO, I can do it myself!" Me: "Fine, I won't bother next time"
But I think women feel pressured to be absolutely independant, wonder women, perfect in every way, so I can see how feeling weird about letting a guy open the door for them can come about. I guess it has to do with asserting yourself as a strong person or something. Letting a guy do things for you is like admitting you are weak, and if you are weak, it means the person opening to door for you can take advantage of you (and ultimately, he could potentially rape you, beat you, or even just break your heart). I'm sure it's really a subconscious thing though.

Thanks for specifying that, because I thought you really, really had your mind in the gutter.
I actually had my mind very deep in the gutter before coming here. Jeez... after a two-hour not too orthodox conversation on the phone with a friend, I needed a break. Nah... we're both exhausted because of the exam sessions.
You never struck me as the unorthodox conversation type

Don't worry, Lizzy. I go out with a couple of female friends and my mate who lives in the flat above me and the first thing the girls talk about is their boobs. Then after that conversation just gets worse.
And this is every time we meet up and the girls always start it.
