How can glass be transparent if you see the glass? If you see the glass, how can you see everything behind the glass?

Shouldn't that be obvious? But is there transparent glass that isn't invisible? (Is there transparent glass at all?)

Isn't 'transparent' different from 'invisible'?

What if I cannot see the glass, but I can see what's behind the glass, and it seems to me that what's behind the glass would look different (more bright, perhaps) if the glass wasn't there? So, I assume there's a glass, but do I see the glass?

(If there is no glass, can I see that there is no glass?)

Can transparent glass be seen? Or: If I can see glass (and everything that's behind the glass), is the glass transparent?

All invisible glass is transparent, but not all transparent glass is invisible.

Transparent glass means that you can see everything that's on the other side as if the glass wasn't there. If there's a reflection, you cannot see what's behind that reflection. Thus, a reflective glass cannot be transparent.

Isn't it obvious I'm talking about transparency?

Would the glass really be transparent though if it was reflective?

Wouldn't the reflective glass take away from the beauty?

Possibly, but wouldn't that keep you away from her beauty then?

Wouldn't it be sealed inside a hermetic frame?

Wouldn't you be afraid that the steam and the splashing bath water might damage it?

What if I'm looking for a large (1 x 1 m) picture I can hang next to my bathtub?

What kind of pictures are you looking for? Glossy? Matte? 8x10's? Wallet size?
