So far I haven't gotten anything... but lately I've been using school and library computers so it will be society who will bear the brunt of it!

M@X, I'll report if anything occurs.
No virus is going to stop me from visiting my favorite web site!

I've installed MS Security Essentials and run Progarchives.com and no report of virus .
Also , according to GOOGLE WEBMASTER CENTRAL , there is no SpyWare on the site.

I would recommend to close and delete his thread.
This thread already appears in Google with the name viruses on PA when searching
Viruses on PA - [ Traducir esta página ]
9 entradas - 7 autores Both Scott and Jim have mentioned viruses on either MMA or PA.I'm reporting that just now I opened...
This can be used by malicious people to discredit the site.

Last friday as soon as I opened ProgArchives, my screen turned to blue and said that a trojan was detected.
Probably it's on the advertising, Google is probably sending cookies and one of them is infected.

I had PA and MMA open in IE8, just reloading it every once in a while to see if I could get the warning, I eventually did. This is what Microsoft Security Essentials says: And here is the link that is in the MSE report.

Actually, I do prefer PCs generally. I just use a Mac right now because I was required to have one at the Berklee school of music and am now in the habit.

The one that hit me was on Friday around 11am central standard time, USA. It went right through our Trend-Micro anti-virus and took out the machine. I don't know the details of what it did as they just gave me a different computer to use.
All I know is it started by putting up a large window warning of disaster, and recommending immediate action with the fake software offered.

Both Scott and Jim have mentioned viruses on either MMA or PA.
I'm reporting that just now I opened the homepage on PA and my antivirus software caught what appears to be a Trojan.
M@X please investigate.
