As a complete list of 2721 albums would just be too much here's a list of the artists. Most of them are complete discographies (NOT! John Zorn), although they are mostly lacking the live albums (don't like most of  'em).

And I removed Nickelback so that nobody would laugh LOL

Sorry, haven't got any piccies.

Don't be embarrased! I like a few Lady Gaga songs. "Bad Romance" is a very good song in every way, IMO. If it wasn't a mainstream pop/dance song, i would probably love it.

That's pretty sweet! Big smile
How many are there? I estimate about 800, since it's a bit bigger than mine (mine is ~575 at the moment). Unfortunately, i've almost run out of space, and out of ideas on how to organize my collection in a neat way, since it's constantly growing.
I should really post a new pic sometime!

I haven't got much as of lately; most of the CDs I had were stolen.

I've started rebuilding my collection in the last year(albeit very slowly, as good albums are hard to find and forbiddingly expensive in Brazil); here's what I got so far:

CDs:

Some DVDs (I lent my Anesthetize DVD to a friend and I sold my Rush DVDs):

Obligatory PF poster pic:

And the best album of all time in double vinyl:

Pardon me for the noisy pics.

I've finally decided to update my CD/vinyl/cassette collection list.  It turns out I haven't updated the thing since 2007, and haven't done it for my vinyl since last year.  I did a horrible rush job of it last time, so I'm going to be more thorough.  My list will now include artist, title, original year of release, record label, catalog number, and notes (re-issue, includes DVD, etc.).

In all seriousness, keep a log of what you collect.  Can you imagine starting a catalog of all that after you already had it?  I'm not sure exactly when I started mine, probably mid 90's and have been faithfully updating it.  Added another useful record field in 1999, "when I got it".

I've been collecting and enjoying music since I was a kid.  The surviving LPs and DVDs aren't even listed.

I haven't cataloged my music collection in a few years.  I definitely need to update mine.  Plus I need to get a good shelf setup so I can actually take a good pic of it all.

That's actually a GREAT idea. I gotta do that sometime this winter.

I have about 310 CDs, 10 LPs and 15 DVDs.

We may have discussed this before, but anyone want to comment on the storage units you use/used (usta use)?

This isn't the latest configuration but all of these units have been moved to get them off the floor.  I have some really good particle board ones that I got many years ago.  Particleboard has of poorer and poorer quality over the years.  If you go that route, narrow units will hold up better.  I've also got some plastic things that Alsop made which aren't too big and stack able.  they are on top and they make CD and DVD sized units.  Then there's those annoying things with balls at top and bottom.  Good for stuff you don't need to move around.  They house my wife's CD collection and DVD copies I made of old VHS in my collection.  Then there's that flippy thing at the top right.  I keep my newest ones there that have come out of the CD changer.  Just to the left which has my newest 50 purchases that made out of the carrying case and where the discs reside in the living room CD changer.

My collection is finally all in one place, for the first time in about 3 years, and now I have a sweet music room!

I counted recently and the total # of CDs in my music room is around 750. Don't know how many vinyls there are.
