US fans of IQ might want to note that they have been booked for ROSfest this coming spring.

Some of it is quite good.  Although the second disc with the original version is pretty bad as far as sound quality goes.  Interesting to hear Martin O. with lead vocal duties with IQ though.  Worth picking up for sure if you can find it at a reasonable price.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

And that reminds me they are at it again and need your support if you are a fan of the band.  http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=82131&PID=4320590#4320590

For the time being at least, the CD has become my go-to version of The Wake. I was wondering who else among you has gotten hold of this little gem, and what you might think of it. Last I checked, it had not appeared in their discography here on PA and thus has not been reviewed here, so this seemed like the best place to share thoughts.
Now added (thanks Progshine). Who will be the first to review it? I'll probably do mine tomorrow so this is your chance to get the coveted 'first review of the album'Big smile

^ yes I've got it and I also noticed it isn't part of their discography on PA. I guess I better get that sorted.

I agree with your comments about. I was actualy very suprised how good it especially as it features Paul Cook and not the more technically gifted Andy Edwards. Cook plays brilliantly on it actually and the sound is about bang on. Highly recommended.

To any IQ fans that aren't paying attention, there's a poll going on anointing the best band from 1980 and on.  Currently IQ is in a heated battle against a strong field.  The voting ends today.

At this point, every vote counts.

I personally think Frequency and The Wake are their best.  For me, Dark Matter drops in quality a little but after Sacred Sound but then picks back up with Harvest of Souls.  The other songs are good but not as enjoyable for me.

The only IQ album I have is Frequency, and I enjoyed it the first couple listens, but I havent gone back to it in a while. Maybe I should.

Yes, you should - it's a fine album. Also, Dark Matter is highly recommended.

See, Dark Matter is one of my least favorite IQ albums, Laz, Give me The Seventh House or Subterreria any day, both remain favorites of mine.

Both are great, but I think that Harvest of Souls is one of the tracks of the new decade. I will never tire of that track, and it is, to me, the epitome of the band's career.

I was wondering what all the fuzz was about in the IQ appreciation threadLOL

Maybe that´s why my Froggy won´t make it...
