Yep, Bernstein is Bernstein. My piano teacher actually finds him one of the most original conductors.

Try getting the Beethoven Concertos with Zimmerman and Bernstein. Pure gold!

Yeah, they ran out of ideas after about season 6, and we got into the silly Anubis thing and O'Neil left and we got those Farscape rejects and the Ori.
 
It's also recorded with the Israeli Symphony Orchestra, which is kind of random, but Bernstein is Bernstein. I'll tell you how it is. ;-)

If it takes 8 bloody seasons to kill those Goddamn Goulds, you're really pulling the cat's tail (native expression) rather than making fine, fluent sci-fi.

But, for what it's worth, I agree. It made its impact.

Haven't listened much to the Symphonies yet. I was earlier reflecting on the Piano Concertos.

He smirks most of the time. I used to really like it, and my parents are Netflixing the whole series, and I can't stand to watch as much as they do, but I watch it with them sometimes. It has its flaws, but it's very solid sci-fi with an engaging universe.
