New York State health care workers will no longer have a religious exemption to the state's Covid-19 vaccine mandate after a federal appeals court vacated a temporary injunction Friday.

Nearly 16,000 health care employees in New York State have been granted religious exemptions by their employers prior to Friday's court ruling, the state's health department confirmed to CNN Friday night.

That's 15,844 employees of hospitals, nursing homes, adult homes, Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHA), Licensed Home Care Service Agencies (LHCSA) and hospice facilities, said Jeffrey Hammond, deputy director of communications for the New York State Department of Health.

The irony here is these addled folks are claiming some type of "religious exemption" for a medical procedure....and yet they are working in a medical field where vaccinations are a prime deterrent for contagious diseases. Buh-bye. Get new jobs as snake charmers or televangelists hocking healing bleach. Perhaps join the Amish and make furniture.

Part 2 of the irony, they seem to ignore the prime directive of their religion - at least alleged Christians - wherein "what you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me", or "love thy neighbor as thyself." There's is a selfish take that actually goes against their supposed religious principles. Of course, there is a long history regarding the flexibility of religious principles and the bending and warping of said principles to allow for slavery, persecution and intolerance. Genocide, racism, caste -- one can make religion do just about anything, which makes sense, as religion is a man-made concept.

STFU, get vaccinated, or find a job that suits the 2000 year-old precepts of your mythological floating sky deity. A shepherd. Or a stone mason. Maybe a temple guard or subsistence farmer. Or just go full-blown stone age and be a hunter/gatherer.

Joe Biden's approval ratings are worse than every recent president -- except 1 -- at this stage

Hey republican PA members:  The rioters met with Trump staff on Jan. 5, a day before the attack on the Capitol.   You're supporting a party that planned to overthrow the US government.   The only thing worse is that most of you are probably saying "Cool !"

Do you have any honor or integrity left ?   Is this who you really are, is it who you really want to be ?   Is it who you've always been, a group of ignorant seditionists?   I fear the answer is "Hell yeah, motherf*cker!"

Do you really believe Trump won?   No.   Of course not.   You don't care who won the election, you're just going to try to take it by force.   What a bunch of ignorant assh*les.   If you people are so against democracy you should move to another country.

Punk ass bitches.

^ He assumed it wouldn't go so badly, that the Taliban wouldn't be so motivated, and the army better informed and mobile.   Kirk beat the KM scenario by reprogramming the computer so he'd win.   Biden should've done the same by way of clandestine action.   And yeah, i think he could've broken the agreement on the grounds that he's the friggin' President.

It was his own personal Kobayashi Maru scenario. Leave immediately as per the agreement and have all the issues currently documented in the news or tell the Taliban "FU I'll leave when I'm good and ready" at which point the Taliban would have said " No...FYOU ! and start killing Americans by the truckload for violating the agreement. Damned if you do...Damned if you don't.
He made the only decision a responsible leader could in those circumstances.
Timing was dictated, execution was his administration's fault.

I do think Biden has both the benefit and drawback of having been around so long he remembers Vietnam and Korea and El Salvador and all the other misadventures over the decades, and it caused him to to pull out of Afghanistan as his first order of business.   But as he is human and flawed, he jumped the gun and probably should've simply waited a couple years until he'd gotten some other things done and had better poll numbers.

He was right to withdraw, he just had the timing wrong, and would be in much better shape politically had he decided to wait until 2023 or so.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

^ We had to leave because that was what the commander in chief at the time (trump) set in motion.

why did we have to leave tho? i mean, our men were rarely dying, it was a very easy occupancy. now that we are gone the taliban are doing so many terrible things to the people there, i dont know why we couldnt have just stayed there and protected them.

Just more right wing bitching, whining and complaining.
Yes...there are facts in those statements and yes...the spin they try and put on it is BS.
But they always forget to mention it was #CoupmanderInChief who set the deadline for exit from Afghanistan, and it was much sooner than Joe wanted and ultimately did. Much of the military equipment was rendered useless by various means and no they didn't leave an air force. the thirteen deaths were an extreme arm of the Taliban (if you can imagine such a thing) that gave the US a big FU as they headed for the door. the drone strike was a very unfortunate failure of intelligence that cost civilian lives. Just one of the many side effects of war.

I know this is old news but I just wanted opinions about this. There is this song I found on youtube called Trump sucks. I won't post it here but you can look it up. Anyway, I commented that this musician (Alex Scolnick) do one that addresses the insurrection. Some guy who is probably a Trump supporter responded with this comment: "Or maybe after Biden gave the Taliban a brand new Army and Airforce. Then killed a couple families with drone strikes all after being responsible for the deaths of 13 Marines all before the millions of people hes letting flood into our country via the southern border!!!??? oh yeah that would have been a humdinger of a song. We would call it "Biden sniffs little girls and murders families."

So anyway, I'm just wondering if there's any truth to that. The only thing I know is that it was the military that made that mistake. I don't think Biden had anything to do with that. Those mistakes are the result of the higher ups in the military(the generals etc) and not the president afaik. I can't really speak for the rest of this person's comments though.

I'm sure that many people will say nice things about Trump when he's gone. (While pissing on his grave.)

Well folks, once again that stupid 5hithead #DJLancedButtBoil has put his really big brain to work.
His latest quote re: Colin Powell's death.

"Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media," Trump said in a statement released Tuesday morning. "Hope that happens to me someday. He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!"

Seriously, this is a direct quote.
