When they use their classical influence it becomes pretty proggy. Space dementia, ruled by secrecy, exogenesis (sampling chopin though).
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!

Great band.  I saw them last year, and they are also a great live band.

As Dean said, it;s the lovely Danielle Dax (singer/actor) Check her out in this clip from the Company of Wolves. She appears around 1:50 in the clip. A very beautiful lady!

A mainstream act that has solid chops, experiments and at least tries? Can't complain.

Not wanting to be offensive Ian, but is it far better to simply report the thread if you think it's wrong than taking unilateral decision to chastise the OP yourself.

I love the track, then I love the whole album and pretty much love everything else they've done since Showbiz. Then I loved Paradise Lost when they went all "Depeche Mode" on One Second too. (oddly, I'm not much of a DP fan though)

Admin Note: I've hidden a whole swathe of off-topic posts in this thread, this resulted in several "innocent" posts being hidden too - appologies for that but any post that referred to a now hidden post became nonsensical and had to be hidden as well.

Thanks,

Personally I prefer the bombast of Absolution & Black Holes which are packed full of hummable tunes. Resistance is definitely more proggy but for some reason it doesn't seem to work as well for me.

Their concert in Cornwall that plays on Palladia quite regularly is brilliant.

I saw them on the Resistance tour and they were brilliant, huge amounts of energy and lots of fun. Place was packed with thousands of people younger than me, most of them holding up cell phone cameras from 100 yards away. OOh look blurry footage and crap sound.

Great band. I think Absolution is the best thing they've done.
