Made some statistics on my collection and what decade it's from. Yes, i did the math in my head.

1950's - 1%
1960's - 11%
1970's - 40%
1980's - 22%
1990's - 18%
2000's - 7%
2010's - 0,1%

Not surprisingly, the 70's won...

Wow, music DVDs, I haven't made it past 175 or so and that included VHS that I copied to DVD.

Oops.. I meant movie DVD's. LOL

I think Im around 25 or 30 music DVD's.

Throw in the movies and I make it to 288.  I haven't been totally good about updating my DVD listing so it's probably a little low.  I just recently started logging add dates which I wish I started doing at the beginning.  Lately though there have been a lot of DVD/CD combos and they get put by whether the box is DVD or CD.  I'm trying to keep those logged in the CD list so I can randomize through them.

I do this myself at RYM, though Im not completely done. I like having track of my collection, and it makes for easy browsing as well. Approve

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

2011 is without doubt my peak year when it comes to buying records. I estimate 120-150 CD's or so Embarrassed

Mine too.  128 so far, and about ten more on order.

I figure I have about 1000 now.

I hit the 1500 CD mark this year.  My peak year for adding titles was 2004 with 131 new additions.  I deliberately decided to slow it down for monetary and space and time reasons.  Currently cycling through the whole collection (http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=71592&PN=1) since a couple of months before September 2010.  At this rate, I'll complete the cycle a few months into 2012 at which point the world will come to end or something. I'll probably do a short cycle through the additions that came in after the long cycle started then end the blog.
