Besides Supper's Ready, the first favourite of mine was Firth of Fifth... but now I have a hard time between that one and other similar ones, like Dancing with the Moonlit Knight, Cinema Show, and Musical Box.

Probably For Abscent Friends, cuz Peter is not singing in it. xd But it does techically count as a Gabriel-era song.

Probably "Dancing With The Moonlit Knight" because of the quieter parts and rocking parts, for a range of expression.

This guy gets it.  And extra credit because he limited it to one song!

I'd have to pick "Blood on the Rooftops."  Er, wait...  Okay, "Counting Out Time" for me, too, because Lamb hasn't gotten nearly enough love in this thread.

"Blood on the Rooftops" is my favourite Collins-era Genesis song. I will go with "Cinema Show" as my Gabriel-era Genesis pick.

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is my favourite Genesis album, by the way, despite not going with a track off of it. Trespass would be my second favourite.

The Lamb is quite amazing, in fact I just finished listening to it. Despite it being my Favorite Genesis album, it's a perfect example of the whole is greater than an individual part. SO I'm going with Dacing with the Moonlit Night. Followed closely by Frith of Fifth
The Wheel of Time Turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.

Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time...

If we're strictly talking Gabriel era, I'll say Supper's Ready. But Mad Man Moon is my favorite Genesis song overall Smile

I guess I'll go with Cinema Show. There's much to pick from. Shout outs for Harold the Barrel and The Waiting Room. There's a restless pipe of sticky stuff that keeps the boxes together.

I really love Trespass. It has such a classic feel and Peter sings so well on that album. It is a terrific performance from him, but of course The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is his magnum opus and parting shot. That album can’t be beat. Has a ton of depth.

Cinema Show > Firth Of Fifth > The Musical Box

All 3 are classics, but Cinema Show shaves it for the keys solo😎

From Tresspass: The Knife (White Mountains next)
From Cryme: Musical Box (Seven Stones next)
From Foxtrot: Can Utility (Supper next)
Selling England: Moonlight Knight (Epping Forest next)
From Lamb: Windshield (Waiting Room and Grand Parade next)

Also Twilight Alehouse.

Alehouse & Utility show +/- everything Genesis could do condensed in just above 6 minutes.

.

My favorite song by Genesis regardless of excluding suppers ready is definitely dancing with the moonlit knight, it is very good.

Firth of Fifth

At one point I would have maybe said Cinema Show but I think FoF does it for me now as number two.
