Having read all of these, I'd have to say the late, great John Wetton gets my vote!

Bruford certainly deserves a shout-out....I saw him with LTIA KC, Discipline KC, UK, his own band, and as a duo with Patrick Moraz.  I always enjoyed seeing him wearing his "B" logo (US Boston Bruins hockey team emblem).

That man had an amazing history!!

^ Most of these I've never heard of, hahaha.

But John Wetton played in a lot of non-prog stuff.
Especially in the 80's.

You can also add Rare Bird (Somebody’s Watching)to John Wetton’s C.V.
Mel Collins would be up there with dozens upon dozens of appearances.
Wakeman also ‘got around’ a bit ha ha, but much of his work was uncredited and laid down for a few beers.

I don't think many of these bands are listed as "prog bands" in PA.  See rule #2 of the original post.

The archives are by no means complete and especially lacking regarding the many Mani Neumeier projects.

Jan Hammer is definitely in the running, if we're going to count fusion!

Atoll - Rock Puzzle
Ayreon - The Theory of Everything
Brian Eno - Here Come the Warm Jets
David Cross - Exiles
District 97 - One More Red Night
Duncan Mackay - Score
Eddie Jobson - Ultimate Zero
Family - Fearless
John Wetton - Caught in the Crossfire
King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic
Martin Orford - Classical Music and Popular Songs
Mogul Thrash - Mogul Thrash
Peter Banks - Two Sides of Peter Banks
Pete Sinfield - Still

Too Wetton's list, you can add:

After Crying - "Live Struggle for Life"
District 97 - "One More Red Night"

bringing the total to 23.

The following 10 collaborations were not included because the artists don't appear in PA:
Alan Simon - Excalibur II
Brian Ferry - Another Time, Another Place
Daniele Liverani - Genius A Rock Opera
Gordon Haskell - It Is and It Isn't
Icon - Icon
Jack-Knife - I Wish You Would
Larry Norman - Only Visiting This Planet
Malcolm and Alwyn - Fool's Wisdom
Phenomena - Did It All for Love (Single)
Roger Chapman - Mail Order Magic

Mel Collins has quite a few credits:

Circus - s/t
King Crimson - In The Wake of Poseidon
Peter Sinfield - Still
Uriah Heap - Return to Fantasy
Camel - Rain Dances
Chris Squire - Fish Out Of Water
Anthony Phillips - Wise After The Event
Peter Bardens - Heart To Heart
Jon Anderson - Song Of Seven
Phil Manzanera - K-Scope
Caravan - Back To Front
10cc - Winds In The Jungle
The Alan Parsons Project - Ammonia Avenue
Roger Waters - Radio K.A.O.S.
Martin Barre - The Meeting
Adrian Belew - Side Three
Stick Men - Konnekted
He was also on Jakszyk, Fripp and Collins' - A Scarcity of Miracles... but that's basically King Crimson

Lots of prog-related and solo projects (and quite a few non-prog credits not listed here). Mostly guest appearances rather than being part of the band, but I guess it counts!
