Oh yeah, that one. I keep overlooking "Under The Sun" every time I think of Vol. 4, but when it does play on my stereo... wow.

Neither...I'd prefer to hear Under The Sun by the mighty Black Sabbath than any of the choices of the poll.

The Doors, Waiting for the Sun. |

For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night. |

Waiting for the Sun. Both great songs, but I agree that Here Comes the Sun is just too bright.

Here Comes the Sun by Harrison. As great as the Abbey Road medley is, Harrison's songs Here Comes the Sun and Something are better than any one song by either Lennon and McCartney on Abbey Road and really helped to knock the album out of the ball park.

Here Comes The Sun is one of three (with Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane) of my favourite songs by The Beatles so I clicked on that one.

it depends on the mood for me (i voted for that one), but it's usually the Beatles over the Doors for this case.

Thanks to this forum I recently knew a superb selection of The Doors songs , since I already knew a few catchy from them; and right now excited with another damn good one that I just happen to know. Looking forward to spinning it at my job too , there are people right there who love The Doors, Creedence, Beatles, but also something modern like Eddie Vedder as well.

Waiting for the Sun, easily.
The Beatles track is just too bright. No pun intended.

@Ozric: A similar situation happened to me, but it was because the Beatles were the only thing I listened to for so long, that I burned myself out on them and needed something new to listen to so I wouldn't go crazy. Incidentally, The Doors were part of that initial bunch to artists, though, unfortunately, it was mostly because of that dumb Oliver Stone movie. At least the music has more than held up for me.

I'll vote for the Doors track, not only is it wilder, there's a crusty busker dude that occasionally howls the Beatles song at my work (he's a massive Beatles/Lennon fan), and he's just killed lots of songs for me - now I just can't listen to lots of Beatles things....
To clarify - he knows about 8 songs, and just played them over, and over, and over...........and over, and he's not even good...... Edited by Tom Ozric - December 18 2014 at 10:27 |

A small preference for "Waiting For The Sun". Morrison and Krieger were flawless on that track, really made it special. That guitar, man.
