Tie between Jethro Tull's "Aqualung", Page & Plant's live and Middle-Eastern-sounding "No Quarter" and Supertramp's "...Even in the Quietest Moments". My mom recorded them from CD to tape so that I could put it on my kiddie tape-playing walkman.  Oh how times have changed.

In retrospect, I find this really, really funny. Most of my friends at the time were listening to New Kids on the Block and obsessing over Josh, 'the cute one' or something like that. Me? Digging Roger Hodgson's voice and jamming to the flute solo on "Locomotive Breath".  Yeah that's right.

Ha! Go Devo, that is awesome. I've seen one of their music videos (retro night on MTV!) - "We are not Men, We are DEVO!" and I laughed so hard. That scientist, man can he dance. *sarcasm*

Improvement makes straight roads, but the crooked roads without improvement, are roads of genius.

Silence is the music of the future.

First full album listen...I think it was probably a soundtrack like the Mission Impossible movie (90s) soundtrack or something.

First full prog rock album listen would be Pink Floyd - The Wall if you count that as prog rock.  If not Pink Floyd, first prog rock album would be Yes - Close to the Edge.

First prog metal album...Opeth - Blackwater Park, Still Life, My Arms Your Hearse and Dream Theater - Awake.

"I'm proud that I've never had a drug problem or complained that success sucks and shot myself like Kurt Cobain." - Chuck Schuldiner (R.I.P)

Probably one of my Dad's Top Of The Pops hits compilations circa 1971-2,mainly because they had very attractive scantilly clad females on the covers..The first album I ever owned was 'The Who By Numbers'.The first album I ever went out and purchased with my pocket money was ELP 'Pictures At An Exhibition'.
