Hello. Recently I finished the first book of the Flashman Papers "edited" by George MacDonald Fraser. Suffice to say that although far from a literary masterpiece, it is a very enjoyable historical parody, and I am interested in following it up with a couple (for the moment) of the sequels. Now, the wikipedia entry for the series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Paget_Flashman) has two lists, one listing the volumes by date of publishing, and other by chronological order.

Now, I would be interested in getting some feedback from someone who has read quite a few volumes in the series as to what list should I follow in order to better have a feel of continuity to the long storyline (seeing as the first-person memoirs perspective of the narrative don't necessarily need to follow a chronological continuity).

So, basicaly what I am asking is what to read after the opening volume, and the one after that and so and so. Any advice is welcome. Big smile
Bigger on the inside.
