I love  chinese Cloak & dagger films (Wu Xia Pian, not to confound with the Kung Fu films), in opposition to many european and americain films they are not so much dealing with the struggle of "good and evil" but with political or philosophical topics.Power and power abuse is a frequent topic. My favourite films are The sword, the one-armed swordsman and Raining in the mountain.

Sorry, I didn't hear about these, despite I'm fond of Asian movies.
I watched 'Hero', 'House of flying daggers', '36th chamber of Shaolin',...

I love Kung Fu movies in particular, but have time for any Hong Kong movies-it's my favourite country for cinema.

'The New One Armed Swordsman' is my favourite swordplay film, and one of the best films ever made in my opinion. There was a semi sequel to the 'One Armed...' films with 'The One Armed Swordsmen', starring Jimmy Wang Yu (the original 'One Armed Swordsman') and David Chiang of 'The New...', and Lo Lieh as the villain. However, it's very dumb and cheap compared to the Shaw classics, but still fun.

There was a big festival of Hongkong movies two years ago in Paris, where I saw some of the films in the poll for the first time. Cheng Pei-Pei was there to present golden swallow &  come drink with me . She was  as beautiful as ever.
