   My band has just registered with the non-profit music organization called 'Turn Me Up' which might be of interest to people in this forum (although most people may already be aware of it).  It basically aims to bring back dynamics to CD releases, preserving them at the proper volume, as many bands prefer to crank their albums to the max in case they lose out to other loud albums.  Turn Me Up returns the power to the listener and their volume knob...
With our quieter sound in some songs, we really benefitted from keeping our record at a sensible volume!
