i'm very ashamed to have "All's Well That Ends Well" by Chiodos...i dunno on what whim it was i bought it, but Gong was in my other hand--which makes the whole thing worse...

Maybe the most embarrassing ones I USED to have were a few Pantera albums, when I was 11 or so. There's not enough I can stand about that band to actually be measured.
I know I have a couple of albums people don't really tend to 'get' that I feel are at times misunderstood.... like Plumb - candycoatedwaterdrops...on the surface, it's just a sugary pop album with chick vocals, but if you really get into some of the tracks, quite a few of them are really really dreamy and depressing and have some amazing instrumentation and production values you just don't hear in pop at *all*. Not something I listen to really regularly, but sometimes the nostalgia will kick in, and when it does it is nice to find that there is real heart and substance to this weird little haze of an album I am so attached to.

I don't really have any "embarrassing" CDs, such as
trashy soundtracks or unashamedly commercial chart fodder. On the other
hand, I have a few pop CDs, which IMHO are rather good quality, such as
Annie Lennox's "Medusa", an Eurythmics compilation (Annie's voice is
one of the best ever!) and kd lang's "Ingénue". They're not prog, hard
rock, metal or even classic rock, but to my mind it's great music
nonetheless.

I'm a big fan. Some of the early Eurythmics non-single tracks like: No Fear, No Pain; No Broken Hearts
Paint A Rumour, Doubleplusgood etc...are great and quite experimental. Her voice is fantastic.

Some of that New Wave stuff isn't so bad. I used to listen it in the early to mid eighties plus I also own a copy of Yanni, "Live at the Acropolis". Actually it's not bad really. The real clincher is a CD by Avril Lavigne, "Let Go". Never mind. It's a long story.
