An abandoned (again, much like Jimberly) shed, near our lovely seaside rental home:

Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

ooo - Holiday snaps...

"Their journey was completed and they found themselves 3000 miles from their original starting point in Iceland. They had entered by one volcano and they had come out by another. With the blue mountains of Calabria in the east they walked away from the mountain that had returned them....

The frightening Mount Etna."

^ Thanks PC!

My camera is really basic/cheap (unlike Jim's -- but then, he's compensating), but still, I'm pleased overall with the photos -- though most credit goes to the beautiful scenery itself, of course.

Re Jim's red face, despite it being a very wet summer overall, we were blessed with 10 hot (25-30 C), sunny days out of the 14 in which we'd rented a house by the sea.

'Twas near bliss.Smile

Don't work too hard, Rach.  As for me, I'm off on my bike now, to look for a good place to take my kids blueberry picking tomorrow. Apparently, all that rain has led to a bumper crop this year (unlike 2007, when a late frost had killed them all) -- good news for hungry bears, and those of us lucky enough to be married to great cooks!Heart

^ that last photo  of Jim is a little out of focus and slanted, Peter - are you sure you weren't a little under the influence of the ol' mountain brew yourself.? Wink

as a revered landscape and portrait photographer, you should know the golden rule works both ways....

Rule 1 - never photograph people when they're drunk - but most importantly never photograph people when you are drunk...Tongue

...where were the good ladies during this ritualistic rustic male bonding session...?  Ermm

I would venture to suggest that Jim himself might have been feeling a little out of focus that morning; a phenomenon which would have nothing to do with Peter's photography skills....

it can happen you know; I refer you to Woody Allen's 'Deconstructing Harry' for evidence...Wink

Nice pictures, Peter! I really should take the kids out to Canada some time in the next few years.

@James - Re your question on page 9: the company I just started is about systems architecture training and consultancy. What we discussed last year, re-releasing old vinyls on CD,  was supposed to be something 'on the side' - which I put on hold for a while. Once business is rolling, I might pick it up again, but I've also found that others have beat me to it, to some extend.

Oh right!

But still, good luck with the new business venture!  I know for certain you have the right credentials to make it successful. Clap

Hmmm - despite percieved evidence to the contrary, I can remember only one evening where imbibing led to being a tad wobbly & that was Peter's fault (Peter, and whoever invented Iceberg Rum)

And I manitain that somewhat blurry photo was taken @ 9:40 pm, not am... Peter is trying to besmirch my untainted reputation as a man of sobriety - Pah!

...and indeed, Tsk!

Jim, I have to get to an important meeting this morning, if I am late due to the muliple pile ups on the A419 (according to the travel news?!!?) it's more acceptable than saying "Sorry I'm late,  Jim made me laugh with a mouthful of coffee and I spent 20 mins trying to get it out of my keyboard!"

LOLLOLLOL

Right, I'm off to brave the traffic...................Confused

^ for PERSONAL use, you would be ok, you are just listening to what you have bought in a different way. IF you traded/sold the copies, if you did the conversions for a business/for money/for others, then you would be in danger (real danger) of joining the growing list of counterfeiters in prison!

I know of people who are now in prison after copying dvd's and selling the copies. It happens. You need licences to do this, and you need to pay the relevant authorities, so that the money gets passed to the copyright owner.

Angelo didn't mean that though.  He actually was referring to acquiring the rights to oop releases and re-releasing them officially, from the original source.

So it wouldn't be vinyl to CD conversation at all.
