Supertramp's "Crime of the Century" is a good example, and so is this. Violins seem to always help, and the vocals especially on the song below. Esperanto - Obsession |

Dramatic is subjective. But this has violin.

Yes’ “Turn of the Century” is quite dramatic with the story
of an artist’s recreation of his lost love. The instrumental center of the song
(the recreation) is perfect…the best Howe & Wakeman ever sounded together,
IMO… |

Great pick. To Be Over is another one that falls in that category from Yes. The guitar solo from Steve Howe on To Be Over is sublime. And the outro....Just play that song at my funeral. |

A Passion Play starts with the death of a ballerina, and her journey through the other side.

The first link says unavailable (must be a regional thing). Can I have the title please? I'm a huge fan of Curved Air. Great selection. And speaking of underrated songs, "The Prisoner". I like some Comus, too, but don't know that last song - I'll check it out.

Well... Any song with Peter's voice is inevitably dramatic. Or with Francesco's voice. |

Genesis - Dancing with the Moonlit Knight
I suppose anything by Van Der Graaf Generator also especially La Rossa. Good call on that Banco. You can't get much more dramatic than Francesco's vocals. I suppose a lot of 70s RPI was pretty dramatic though.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

This surely qualifies as dramatic; the battle between gladiator Spartacus and his "Slave army" against "the forces of Rome"-a tour de force, both musically and lyrically...
