| I like some of New Trolls but not all their stuff. Goblin are legendary but have also produced some 'patchy' stuff. Think I might go with the newer band here. |

Of the three I'd choose Goblin but none of these are favorites personally....

I'll vote Goblin who, although not one of my absolute favourite bands, did release `Roller', which is in my top 5 prog albums of all time, and probably my favourite instrumental album.
I don't mind some of the early New Trolls albums, but I don't listen to them too often. I also really dig Yugen's album `Mirrors', which I always keep a copy of in the car

I'll join the ranks of Roller fans on here As a matter of act, that's the only album from any of these artists that really connects with me, although The New Trolls did a marvellous little album called Tempi Dispari, back when they opted for the more spacy band name of New Trolls Atomic System. Probably to accommodate a more spacy sound methinks - as the album is a nice mix of space n jazz rock. ------------- “The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. No contest. Goblin is one of my all-time faves for three decades now. I love their film scores, original albums, Claudio's solo albums, related bands (Cherry Five, Libra, Morte Macabre, Zombi), etc. Everything!
