My favourite year for music (for prog at least). Again, not too difficult seeing ELP and Pink Floyd didn't release any albums then.

If you've looked at the other polls, you can probably guess who I'm voting for Tongue I think I'll be amazed if JT get any votes, but we'll see Smile

As always, thanks for any feedback..

Easily The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway ! I consider it a real masterpiece! My all times Genesis favourite album.

The other ones are either excessively folk or don't manage to move me at all ( Yes - Relayer for example the only ones I enjoy are To Be Over and Gates Of Delirium which unfortunately tires me after some listenings.)

Relayer big time! Red gets honorable mention... still need to listen to it more, though Starless has potential for me ("well no sh*t sherlock!!")

Picked Relayer. I really like Gates of Delirium. Lamb is really good, but too much filler.

I don't understand the attraction to Red. Most everything seems so slow and boring on it to me. Providence is a fantastic piece, though.

This is the most difficult for me so far, for all of this albums have at least something I don't really like so much. As a whole, I think I like Red best... but I'll be voting for Relayer on the strength of Gates of Delirium.

Here's a weird thing : I have known Topographic and Lamb for around 25 years, and to this day, I have more 'trouble' seeing the genius in Lamb than the other, and I know them both inside and out, back to front.....

Well, that may be because Red is to KC what CTTE is to Yes or SEBTP is to Genesis.  As in, it's an album that attracts lot of people who may not even be huge KC fans.  ITCOTCK is another such album of KC.  Relayer isn't quite in that category, which doesn't make it better or worse than Red.  It's all down to preferences and I personally prefer Red.

Went back and forth between Red and Lamb. If I remove my favorite song from each (Starless and Fly On a Windshield) and compare the remainder, Lamb wins.

We all know that Red is one of the few albums at the apogee of progressive rock, unless you think "progressive" only means symphonic.with keyboards.   However, I like to spread the love whenever possible.  Therefore, I'm picking Starless and Bible Black.  Incidentally, the fact that Fripp and company could come up with these two masterpieces in the SAME YEAR is simply astonishing to me.

Red, nothing else from the big six this year comes close, IMO.

It's so very strange to me. Red is stripped down KC to such an extent that it seems like punk rock to me. If the Lamb were to be edged out by Starless and Bible Black that would at least make more sense to me. Oh well.

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway for me. Such a musically diverse album and contains, in my opinion, some of Genesis' most haunting and beautiful but with an extra dose of strange music.

1- RED (I dont know why I choose another!!!)

I dont have No.2 in this poll. Hardest poll in "The Big Six" series for me. And I like Todd's Utopia so much.
