Probably my 2 favourite albums after Trespass, and seeing as they're quite closely rated on PA, I want to see which you prefer Smile

Zep. I do like COTC but the Supertramp formula tends to get on my nerves after a while.

Led Zeppelin IV any day of the week over Supertramp. I don't like Supertramp at all.

Big fan of Supertramp and indeed put that album in the 'Masterpiece' category as its original and beautifully put together. Recording quality is superb.

But ultimately even though Led Zep IV has more obvious influences(some would say borderline plagiarism, but I don't want to be to controversial as its only my 5 post! ;) It has to be IV.

I'm not a big fan of either band, but I love Crime of the Century to bits whereas there's only two tracks on IV that I listen to and frankly side two just bores me to tears.

Sorry about that.

Quite like COTC but even though I like LZ loads. IV is the last album I would want to listen to.  Crime I guess.

IV. It is like an IV direct into my hard rockin' jones.

If it keeps on rainin', yes. It's numbingly boring to me.

Sorry about that.

LZ may be rock and roll legends but Crime of the century is one of the greatest rock albums of all time and one that I prefer over any LZ album. Quite an easy vote.

Kind of the way I feel in that this so close I almost need to be forced to make a choice. Both 5 star albums for me and I have a long history with both. I'll try to vote later.

i am not sure how this can be close. Zep IV is simply in the top three or four albums in rock history and maybe the greatest recording of all time, a laugher LOL Zep 4

Crime of the Century; a perfect album IMO. It has crystalline production, whereas IV sounds like it was recorded underwater! Besides if don't hear Stairway again it'll be too soon!! I just plain don't like most of the songs on IV; I'd much rather listen to Physical Graf iti.

Zep IV has two outstanding songs (The Battle of Evermore and Stairway to Heaven), but as a whole I prefer Crime of the Century.

LZ seriously? Original music vs stolen music and still stolen music winning? Don't get it.

I personally find Led Zeppelin IV to be overrated. Sure there's Stairway to Heaven which is great, but I find it overall pretty boring.

So yeah Crime of the Century by a mile!

Always liked "Four Sticks" a lot, including that wacky synth part. Zep it is.

this one's a little bit tricky, and i remember the former getting an overall rating of 4.50 in the past. my vote goes for that because of Four Sticks though. not one of my favorites from Zep.
