Big fan of Supertramp and indeed put that album in the 'Masterpiece' category as its original and beautifully put together. Recording quality is superb. But ultimately even though Led Zep IV has more obvious influences(some would say borderline plagiarism, but I don't want to be to controversial as its only my 5 post! ;) It has to be IV.

I'm not a big fan of either band, but I love Crime of the Century to bits whereas there's only two tracks on IV that I listen to and frankly side two just bores me to tears. Sorry about that. ------------- What? |

| LZ may be rock and roll legends but Crime of the century is one of the greatest rock albums of all time and one that I prefer over any LZ album. Quite an easy vote. |

Crime of the Century; a perfect album IMO. It has crystalline production, whereas IV sounds like it was recorded underwater! Besides if don't hear Stairway again it'll be too soon!! I just plain don't like most of the songs on IV; I'd much rather listen to Physical Graf iti. ------------- A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!! |

Zep IV has two outstanding songs (The Battle of Evermore and Stairway to Heaven), but as a whole I prefer Crime of the Century.

I personally find Led Zeppelin IV to be overrated. Sure there's Stairway to Heaven which is great, but I find it overall pretty boring. So yeah Crime of the Century by a mile! |

this one's a little bit tricky, and i remember the former getting an overall rating of 4.50 in the past. my vote goes for that because of Four Sticks though. not one of my favorites from Zep. ------------- Progrockdude |
