Ambrosia(first two albums from the mid seventies). Not sure about the first but I know the second one("Somewhere I"ve never travelled was produced by Alan Parson's himself). I also recommend some early Supertramp(70's stuff) for that prog pop sound. Also, possibly some Styx. |

also ELIPHASz's album :La Royaume Des Poussieres" I find the vocal oriented MIKE OLDFIELD albums like "Discovery" and "Crises" have a Parsons vibe possibly because of multiple guest vocalists TAI PHONG's first has similarities/compatibilities with "The Fall of the House of Usher" especially on "Out of the Night"

If you haven't heard it, then you should try the band/album KEATS. It has many of the Alan Parson's Project regular musicians in it (Bairnson, Paton, Blunstone, Elliot) alongside Pete Bardens from Camel. Parsons did the engineering and production on the album.

actually you are correct. Chris Rainbow did vocals on several Parsons and Camel albums. His real name is Chris Harley and he also produced some Runrig albums
